Desde el inicio nos preocupó la relación de lo construido con el paisaje. Entendíamos que la intervención podía estar más asociada al mundo natural que a la retícula de la ciudad.
Entender el espacio común del hotel como un espacio fluido, donde deambular con libertad, reconociendo los distintos lugares según la actividad que en ellos se desarrolla. Establecer una relación de continuidad entre interior y exterior como forma natural de entender los movimientos que se realizan en los meses de verano. Ascender para localizar la intimidad de los clientes en habitaciones que se localizan en torno a un patio interior inundado de luz.
Las piezas construidas aluden al mundo orgánico del lugar en el que habitan y aceptan como premisas fundamentales la iluminación y el disfrute de las vistas de la costa de Ibiza, a través de un esquema triangular que optimiza la disposición de las estancias.
Frente al mundo sensual y sinuoso de los protagonistas del hotel, están las dependencias y las circulaciones de los trabajadores del recinto. Movimientos siempre independientes, invisibles para el perfecto funcionamiento del engranaje.
We were concerned from the beginning with the relationship between the project and the landscape. We understood that the project should be closer to the surrounding scenery rather than obey the reticular conventions of a city.
It is essential to conceive the common space of the hotel as a free-flowing space; a space where people can wander around freely and identify different areas by the activity that takes place in them. We have aimed to establish a boundary-free relationship between the interior and the exterior spaces of the hotel so that it all merges into one single, natural space.
The built elements follow an optimal triangular scheme where light and the outstanding views of the Ibiza coast play a fundamental role. Guest rooms are located above the interior courtyard that is flooded with light.
The hotel staff’s premises and their work itinerary within the building have been conceived as a parallel, almost invisible circuit that ensures its perfect functioning as a whole.
